Association of Diplomats of Latvia was established with the aim of conducting educational, explanatory, analytical research activities in the fields of diplomacy and international relations.
Main directions of activity:
- organizing thematic discussions, seminars, conferences; guest lectures in schools, universities, state institutions, etc.;
- providing consultations on issues of diplomacy and international relations to state, local governments, public, non-governmental organizations and private individuals;
- writing publications and books, making films, organizing exhibitions in the fields of diplomacy and international relations;
- cooperation with similar organizations.
Former and current employees of the Latvian Diplomatic and Consular Service, as well as any able-bodied person who is bound by the Association's fields of activity (political scientists, businessmen, historians, lecturers, students, etc.) can join the Association.
A potential member must send a written application and motivation letter to the board of the association. The decision on admitting a member to the Association of Latvian Diplomats is made by the board.
